Beer: Kastell Triple Brewer: Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck N.V. Style: Belgian Strong Ale (Triple) Rating: B ABV: 11% Pours lightly gold with a creamy head. Good head retention. Not much aroma at all. Mouthfeel is pretty good. This beer has a good amount of body, but it doesn’t sit too heavy in your mouth. Tastes interesting. Very sweet up front with a little bitterness on the back of the tongue. I get some raisin flavors with a sweet ester finish. There is something in the aftertaste that almost tastes like sorghum to me. The high alcohol (11% !!)lends itself to the sweetness. Good beer overall. Great triple.
